America's Got Talent

Post by Billy Tonnesen »

I have been watching the new America's Got Talent show for the last couple of nights. I am not knocking the show but it seems like it's a combination of some really good talent and then a lot of performers that go back to the old Chuck Barris "Gong Show". Of all the hundreds that try out I am sure there is plenty of real talent to showcase and it's a waste of this talent to throw in obvious losers. Maybe that is what sells the show.

There should be some great talent before the show ends this summer--there always is. I personally really like Howie. I think he will add a lot of humor to the show and I like comedy.

I thought David worked well on the show, but I like Howie even more. I agree with Leroy - Howie is very funny and to me, makes the show more entertaining.

On Idol -- I think the show was better with Paula there, and I think Simon will be greatly missed.

Well said, Billy, right on the mark. I haven't liked the ridiculously overexposed Howie Mandell since he used to explode rubber gloves on his head circa 1978, but that's just me.

I agree, Billy!

I still think the absolute best talent came from Terry Fator in 2007. www.terryfator.com for anyone who doesn't know who he is.

The worst acts (in my opinion) are the ones that involve the NOSE! YUK!
