Has anyone compaired the Line 6 Echo Park against a
Boss DD-3 W/ analogman mod. Which would be a better deal hear. The Line 6 sounds Real good.
Thanks for your comments.

Here's some more info on the LIne 6 Echo Park:

The line 6 has a lot of nice features but I don't think it has nearly as smooth a sound as any of the truly analog older Ibanez delays. None of the newer Boss delays, sound much different from the Echo Park to my ears but I haven't tried the modified version you mentioned. In that regard, I just use a cheap Guyatone MD-3 most of the time. It's not very rugged, but it does have the smoothest sound of any of my digital delays.

I have both the analogman dd-3 and the echo park and I use them both. Sometimes at the same time!

For clean, pure sounding delay the DD-3 is my choice. The Tonequest Report still recommends it as one of their favorites as well. BUT the echo park has tap tempo and a larger selection of sounds. It also sounds very good. For versatility in a mid priced delay, the echo park is the choice.
