William, I own one of these and it works great. I am going to install a jack/plug soon so it does plug/un-plug...a rather simple mod. _________________ Dave Simonis

Thanks to all for your advice. I will bid on it.
I remember reading somewhere that the newer model had adjustments that the old one did not have. Not sure how important this is (if at all). _________________ Bill |

I think it is the other way around--the older ones had a gain adjustment that the newer ones don't have. |

That's right--I have one of each. Also, FWIW, my newer one with the smaller, lighter detachable power supply hums on its own, in identical circumstances where my older one like the one for sale doesn't. I'm not saying this would be true for all examples of either type, but I just thought I'd pass along my personal experience. |

Brint, please check and see if the pedal that hums is a 12 volt or 24 volt pedal? If it is a 12 volt pedal you need to send it to me. I will correct the hum and up-grade it to a 24 volt pedal free of charge. |

I agree with that comment. The Hilton pedal has been and still is one of the best contributions to pedal steel guitar players. All we have to do is buy one and play, Keith does all the work and has excellent customer support to boot. |

I've got one of the first ones he made, with the 12V wall wart, and I've never had an iota of a problem. I'm on my 3rd or 4th wall wart, but a garden variety generic one works. It's actually a prototype that Jeff Peterson used on the road with Clint Black for about a year, I'm told. Wouldn't leave home without one. _________________ Mullen RP D10, Peavey NV112, Hilton volume. Hound Dog reso. Piles of other stuff. |
