Got mine today from Ed Packard--it's a thing of beauty!
It glides quietly over the strings, silky smooth. It's a little lighter that the Pearse stainless bar I've been using, and tone is ever-so-slightly more mellow--hardly noticeable. Sustain seems about the same as with the Pearse (which has super sustain).
One thing surprised me though. I find that I'm doing a better, more natural sounding vibrato with the Zirc bar--something about the feel of it, the way it rolls in the hand, or something like that. Anyway, thanks Ed Packard for making them available again!

Ray,
I think what helps with the vibrato is the bar's super smoothness.
