These two tone monsters have been gathering too much dust.. Time for them to find new homes. They ain't pretty, but they are without a doubt, able to bring the tone home!
First up:
62 Bassman top. Pot codes put it early 62. 6G6A circuit. As you can see by the pictures, the power tranny had the tube rectifier wires snipped and the chassis has a hole punched and covered for a tube socket. You could make this a "dual rectifier" if you wanted to. Some one tried to "Blackface" the cab by a liberal application of paint, but you can see it is the correct cream tolex with brown dog bone carry handle, wheat cloth and my all time favorite flat logo. Fresh output tubes, the great sounding Svetlana bakelite base 6l6. Recapped all electros a few years back. I've had this amp for nearly 20 years and it delivers classic Fender clean to killing crunch. As you can see it has all the correct date codes on trannies and choke, tag board unmolested with blue caps and cloth wire. Nothing sounds like these and they are hard to come by. I truly hate to let this one go. $625
66 Bassman:
Great amp, recapped, old GE 6l6's, unmolested innards. A bit beat cosmetically but another killing tone machine. $525
