The original Steel Guitar Work Stands

Post by Bob Cox »

These Heavy Duty Stands made of welded steel will help save on your back during your steel guitar setup on pedals, and Knee levers. Prevents setting it back up and down countless times. Now you can hear your changes being made while on the table. Great for push pull tweaking, or about any all pull pedal steel you are working on. Your guitar can be hooked to your amp while tweaking so you can hear whats going on with plenty room to reach under and strum your guitar. The new stands are slotted and fastened easily simply by loosening leg a bit and sliding it right in and tighten leg , or a 1" no. 13 cap screws can be used ,not included. Email for details and info.

The real question should be "if you use these to work on a guitar that isn't a P/P, will they make sound as good as a P/P? ;-)

They will work on any steel with standard 1/2" or 5/8" legg socket. Thanks Bob

Bob, I want a set. I emailed you, but no reply. Anyone got a set?
2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)
More amps than guitars, and not many effects

Do you still make these PSG stands?

Post by Andy DePaule »

Hi Bob,
Do you still make these PSG stands?
I see the last post was about a year ago...
If yes, how much and do they come with the bolts?
Also do you take PayPal?
It would be shipped to Oregon.
Thanks,
Andy

Steel maintenance stands

Post by Gary Ackley »

I just received a set of these stands.

Very nicely made, fair price, fast service.

These will be fantastic for close looks at the underside of my guitar.

The elevation provided by the stands will allow full access to the strings
while the guitar is bottoms up.

Bob is a great guy to do business with.

Thanks, Bob.

I have an early set of these, quite handy for working under the hood. Until I design and build a custom PSG workstand like Jim Palenscar's, these work fine. :D

I got them now

Post by Andy DePaule »

Hi John,
I tracked him down and bought a set.
He is a forum member.
Now can't find the e-mails we exchanged so don't remember the address.
Best wishes,
Andy

I bought a set of these from Bob off Ebay where he also lists them for sale. These things are an absolute must for working on your steel, other than building a Jim Palenscar style work station.

I have a set of stands that I made myself. Another handy way to use them is to build a simple rectangle frame out of wood and bolt these legs to that. Then you just flip your guitar over onto the stand.

Workbench legs

Post by Chuck Snider »

Hi Bob,
Sent you an email regarding a set of your workbench legs. I didn't mention it in my email to you, but I'll mostly be using these on a couple of Emmons push-pull guitars, as well as a Sho-Bud, a Carter, and a GFI. As far as I can tell, these legs should work on most any brand or model PSG, correct?

Thanks,
-Chuck
