Linda sings & Buddy plays pedal steel on "FAITHFUL."
WOW, almost the entire song has Buddy playing, yes, this is how it should be done. This album is a must to have in any steel player's collection.

I must have played this song 100 times in the last two days, soon I'll need to replace the needle.

There's no name to the album that this song is recorded on,(Capitol Label).

Other songs include:

CRAZY ARMS
I FALL TO PIECES
ROCK ME ON THE WATER
IN MY REPLY (lots of steel)
RESCUE ME
BIRDS
RAMBLIN ROUND
I WON'T BE HANGING AROUND
I STILL MISS SOMEONE

Other steel players include:
SNEAKY PETE & WELDON MYRICK

The original record is called "Linda Ronstadt" Very Happy
Released in 1971

More info about it here
http://www.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&sql=10:a9fyxqt5ldfe

Yeah, and it looks like the song is called "I Ain't Always Been Faithful"

And as Tony already said it's also on The Best of Linda Ronstadt: The Capitol Years

Ah yes, the album with the big hoop ear-rings. I wore that LP out in the 70's playing along with it on my S-10 Blanton. Great tunes!

"Hillbilly Child" by Paul Siebel, it starts at 3:15.
I believe it was written with her in mind.

"Hillbilly Child" is from his album "Jack- Knife Gipsy" with BE on steel. "Long Way To Nashville" is from Paul Siebel's debut album and I think that Weldon Myrick plays.

I got this remastered collection of both Paul Siebel albums.

http://www.amazon.com/Woodsmoke-Oranges-Jack-Knife-Gypsy/dp/tracks/B0002DXQ7E/ref=dp_tracks_all_1#disc_1

The previously unreleased cut "Nervous" is steel-intensive, BE on E9, and switching to C6 at the end.

PETER - About a month ago I was able to purchase the CD from Borders Books in Planation, Florida for $13.00. I already have the album from the 1970's it's been played a million times, I most likley wore out the needle too.

That album features members of her various 1971 bands, some of Swampwater, the dude who would later be known as solo artist Moon Martin, Buddy, Sneaky Pete, the core members of the Eagles (who Buddy cut a rehearsal - demo session with in '71), some of Shiloh, the bassist from Uncle Jim's Music, etc.

It was cut through 1971, hence the different bands, and it was supposed to be released in 1971, and is often listed as a '71 or 1972 release, but I've never sen it listed on anything but early '72 reviews and reports in Billboard and other publications.

Personally I doubt if it was a '71 release.
