Hi,

I'm looking for a set of Aiello super magnets for my '58 Supro Comet.

If anyone out there has some for sale or knows a source, please contact me.

(Rick Aiello is not doing business until further notice. We miss you Rick!)

Thanks,

Bob

Jason will remagnetize your current magnets, but I don't believe he sells any neo magnets ala Rick Aiello.

If you want Aiello magnets, I'd be willing to sell you my set for the cost to have Jason remag my originals.

Jason has a waiting list for a new run of Horseshoe pickups. I believe these are the very same he designed with Rick Aeillo. You might wanna get on that list if it interests you at all. I am!

How about you get Lollar's Supro pickup? I just got one put onto a custom job and from all accounts it is beyond fantastic. It was modelled after the original Supro pickup ... except Jason's bucks the hum (without losing that single coil awesomeness).

Check it out here:

If I'm not mistaken, the folks at lollar told me they could sell me a new set of supro magnets for $30 or so.

Well $30 beats $300! Muttering

But I love my new Lollar Supro just the same!

Hi,

Here's an update:

I bought a set of magnets from Lollar for $35. They are Alinco, not the high-flux Nibro material that Aiello used.

My Supro works fine--really fine. I'm just trying to optimize performance.

My understanding is that Rick Aiello has some high-priority family issues to deal with. We wish you well Rick and miss your contributions to helping us play and sound better.

Best,

Bob

Do you know if the different materials affect the sound in a big way? I am asking because I am waiting on some horseshoes modeled after the Ricky Horseshoe pickup. To my understanding it was team-designed by Aiello and Lollar...
