"Georgia on My Mind" was written in 1930 by Hoagy Carmichael who wrote some more great songs (Stardust) . It is the official state song of the US state of Georgia.

Steel guitar: Kay Das/Saxophone (alto): Peter Carroll/Lead and Rhythm Guitars: Mike Carroll/and additionally Piano: Tony Nalker/Bass: Jim Roberts/ Drums: Steve Fidyk

Peter Carroll is a 14-year old sax prodigy from Uplands CA. Mike, his father, is an accomplished guitarist and composer.

Key of F. Steel Guitar: Charvel Jackson electro-acoustic, D maj tuning

I am having problems with my regular link.

If that does not work, please try this (lower quality) link for the time being while 4share get their act together. Would appreciate feedback.

Was it ever determined if the Song "Georgia" was written about the State or if it was written about a Woman named Georgia ? It seems the lyrics could apply to either one !

In accordance with some valuable feedback I received here is a re-mix.

or, if you have trouble with that...

In this mix there is more " air time" to Peter Carroll coming in on the 9th bar; the steel guitar cuts in later. Also, the attack on the steel guitar is slightly sharper in the later bars after a softer beginning.
