There is more than hot weather going on in Arizona!! The Southwestern Steel Guitar Association is sponsoring a 2 day event in Apache Junction at the Central Arizona Community College on Saturday June 25th and Sunday June 26th!! On Saturday the 25th, we will be having a "round robin" steel guitar jam to Band in the Box Rhythm Tracks. The fun starts at 8:00 am and goes as long as we can hold up. Then on Sunday, the 27th, we will be having a FREE Band in the Box Seminar put on by the recognized expert, Big Jim Baron!! The Band in the Box is a computer program of rhythm tracks to play along with for practice or performance. Jim has consented to put on a free teaching seminar so that you can get the most out of your BIAB. Even if you don't have the BIAB,the teaching will be valuable, and there will be BIABs available for purchase. Then, Jay Dee Maness will be putting on a steel guitar seminar for a limited number of students for a fee of $50 per student. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to get some up close and personal guidance from JayDee, one of the giants of the steel guitar world. Come and join us for a great time, and check out our website for more information!! www.swsteelguitar.com

Hey Jim...
I am looking forward to a great weekend, and I hope to learn a bunch from both you and JayDee. Will you or him be bringing any of those instructional videos? That would be great. It is going to be a hot weekend of picking in Arizona, for sure!! Bring some ice with you!!

This show will be a great success. I wish I could be there sitting on the front row, both while JayDee was playing, and in his class.

Jim Baron tracks, JayDee playing along with them, showing his videos and teaching, it don't get any better than that.

Wish I could be there!

This is the format that was used at the Steel Guitar Jam in San Jose in April. Big Jim handled the BIAB program with assistance from our fearless leader, Bobby Lee. Great fun!

With JayDee-not to be missed for anyone that has a reasonable shot at making it!

Jim P....Consider this an order for JayDee's latest video. I of course have the other one. Anytime JayDee comes out with anything, put me down as the first customer.

JayDee....knowing only days before the show is not enough time for me to make arrangements. I'm sure you understand and know how much I would enjoy and appreciate being there sitting "on the front row".

The good news is, I have no doubt my seat will be occupied by someone who will also greatly appreciate you and your exceptional "gift".

I'll be thinking about all you guys next weekend, and hopefully a full report will be posted along with pictures here on the forum.

Sorry you won't be able to make it, but it would be our privilege and honor to have you at any of the SWSGA functions. Consider this an open invitation. We are gonna have a great time!!! With JayDee, BigJim, and Pali, how can you miss? It will be a wonderful weekend in Apache Junction, so don't miss out on this one. Let's all get together and celebrate the steel guitar!!

Hi Jim....
Yes, we have a few openings for the JayDee Maness class on Sunday. Everyone is welcome, whether or not they are a member of the SWSGA. Thanks for your interest and tell your friend to bring his guitar and come on in!!
