Yes, strange but true. Last Friday afternoon, while doing some road gigs with Buck Ford's Pure Country Band, I received a phone call from the Northwest Western Swing Music Society.... they wanted to let me know that in August I will be inducted into their "Pioneers of Western Swing" hall of fame Smile

What an unexpected honor to join the likes of all the great Northwest PSG players (like Dean Rankin)!!!

Really looking forward to going back up to Seattle this summer and visiting all my friends!

David, Congratulations to you or your selection into this limited group of folks.
I'm glad they know some of the right people to choose.

Thanks for the congrats Scott and Ray! ... and right back at ya Scott!

Dave, I just KNOW it was another bang up jam in Portland.. and sorry to have missed it! Thanks for thinking of me Smile

and thanks so much for the kind words Doug, I am hoping that the band I'm playing with now, Buck Ford and Pure Country will take a swing up north one of these days.... so far we've been as far south as AZ... so the NW sounds good to me Smile.... and if we do I'm also hoping to catch you playing at least one more time... man that's a steeler's treat!!!
