B11th is a beautiful tuning but
does not fit most styles.
Of course it is all in the hands of
the respective players.
I did this arrangement of Yellow Roses
and it comes off fine but somehow it does
not sound the way it is supposed to sound
...Country and Hawaiian do not mix perhaps.
I have to twist my thinking to be comfortable
playing the song on this tuning.

That sounds really nice, Roy. I know what you mean about B11 tuning. It has a beautiful, haunting sound, but it's hard to play anything other than that signature sound on B11 Smile That big 9th chord in the middle of the tuning is hard to avoid, but it sounds awesome for certain songs and styles.

Wow, beautiful. Would love to know your effects and amp, etc. And of course what kind of steel and pickup?

Thanks,

Beautiful Roy! I've tried to play different songs with B11 and just can't make it work as easily as I can with C6. You on the other hand make it sound easy. Smile

Thank you all so much.
The tuning set up for that clip is as
follows:
6 string top to bottom: E--C#--A--F#--D#--B
Pretty amazing I think.

Here is another B11th Solo of mine
which I composed a few years ago
Ku U Macka ( Apple Of My Eye )
When I play B11th I hear about 30
ukelei's (?) in the backup?
