Wanna learn that Bossa Nova feel? Listen to this guy counting it off.

I am of the opinion that these guys are doing this as a joke, like the guy who showed how to play "experimental jazz" piano.

I don't know. I always thought that if you didn't have slip notes and rub notes in your toolbox, you were still a jazz newbie. I used to play them all the time when I was in my cups.

Now that I spend my time sober I play experimental jazz quite well. Learned it from my kid, who is an expert.

I agree, a lot of what you find on Expert Village is not so good. I tried a few videos on motorcycle maintenance and was totally lost.

When I did my series on pedal steel guitar, I came into it with the attitude that I was speaking to a guitar player who was absolutely baffled by what he or she heard and saw when watching someone play a pedal steel guitar. So much of what happens is invisible to the audience. I actually had a lesson plan and each 3 minute segment was designed to give an overview of it's topic. I'm kinda proud of em and have received a lot of compliments, and some criticisism as well.

Bill, I believe it's because you take what you do seriously. I'm sure there are many legit videos at expertvillage or ehow.com. Either I'm jaded or clueless, but it seems to me like the guys in the links I posted are just trying to pull one over on everyone.
