We are very saddened to hear about these horrific floods. We already have 3 confirmed guitars that are at the moment under 6 feet of water. We are doing what we can to help you folks. We have committed all employees to many extra hours to try and start replacing guitars.
Please contact us directly if your Mullen guitar is gone, and/or any other brands that you cannot get anymore, we are willing to do what we can to help you folks out as well.
This is a horrible act of Mother Nature that can not be avoided, so we are doing our part to try and help to ensure the steel guitar stays in the current touring acts as well as the many, many items that where stored at the Soundcheck in Nashville. I have not heard the final count of steels gone, not to mention all the Vintage guitars that are not replaceable.
So if you are in need of a new guitar and would like a Mullen, we will do what we can to fast track the order.... As they say, the show must go on...
Thank You and God Bless each and everyone affected. |

One of my cats keeps smacking it, trying to knock it off.
I guess he thinks it's an oversize flea, and wants to kill it. _________________ aka "Lucky Kay"--Custom built Rittenberry SD10 3X5, Walker S/S, NV-112, and Hilton Pedal |

My heart goes out to all the musicians who have lost valuable, even priceless, instruments because of capricious Nature, rivers bursting their banks and torrents of uncontrollable water. We become so attached to our instruments that having one damaged is like a wound to one's self. Losing one is as bad as losing a family member.
Mike Mantey's offer of assistance on behalf of Mullen Steel Guitars is most generous. So too is Mickey Adams' offer...I'm sure affected players will take heart knowing these good folks are thinking of their problems at this very difficult time. My thoughts and best wishes go out to all of you battling the elements.
Now, that bug. Had me going too! Fortunately I read through the posts before I tried to hit it. This has almost certainly saved me a screen repair! _________________ The steel guitar is a hard mistress. She will obsess you, bemuse and bewitch you. She will dash your hopes on what seems to be whim, only to tease you into renewing the relationship once more so she can do it to you all over again...and yet, if you somehow manage to touch her in that certain magic way, she will yield up a sound which has so much soul, raw emotion and heartfelt depth to it that she will pierce you to the very core of your being. |

Guys i can remove the bug if it is a nusance.
i got an email from a feller that called me an S.O.B because of that bug. im not sure if he was kidding or not LOL! anyway we dont want to hijack Mikes thread here over a stupid bug avitar. So to the top for Mike, Dell & Dixie and you too Mickey for the great example of human compasion these folks exude. The world would be a better place if we all took a lesson in caring & compasion from great folks like these.
sincerly

Last night when my power was restored (I've been without electricity for a little over two weeks due to some hardships I've been experiencing myself), I grabbed a cup of coffee and sat back to get into the SGF and read the various posts on the Forum and see what's been happening in the music world ... only to find my blood turning cold and chilled as I read about the heartbreaking events that have occurred in the Nashville area while I've been isolated without power.
I'm sick at heart to read about the terrible floods that have hit the Nashville area. I was so shocked to learn what's happened there and the extent of the heartache and damages the flood has caused. The lives lost, the homes and businesses damaged and/or devastated by flood waters as well as the music instruments and equipment damaged or destroyed. O woeful experience! I've just been numb all day with heartfelt grief and sympathy for those who've been affected by these terrible events and my most earnest and fervent prayers go out to everyone who's been touched by this.
For Mickey Adams ---
Mickey, I'd like to offer my services as well to help you in working on any flood damaged guitars that come your way for repair ... if you get stacked up with guitars and need a pair of helping hands, please call me and I'll be right over in a flash to help out with them.
Heartiest salutations to all the folks at Mullen. They're great. _________________ 1986 Mullen D-10 with 8 & 7 (Dual Bill Lawrence 705 pickups each neck)
