take it easy guys. Emmons NOW is not responsible of this week delay.
The thing, is that (to also answer to you, Chris) the shipping of this guitar it was supposed to be "free of charge" because Ivano already paid for sending it and receiving it back for repairing problem, so, the deal was this one.
But Emmons just gave it to Fedex, that , obviously, they want the money from the receiver (Ivano), and this should not have happened. Now I think they are dealing about this thing at the custom, but anyway they told us the guitar is in Italy, so, we know that the guitar "exist".
Again, I think that soon will be here.
Don't worry.

Interesting that the posts from Emmons are so poorly written and incoherent. If the people they hire to speak to the public can't compose an English sentence, who is building the pedal steel guitars? Not to mention their lack of courtesy or common sense in customer relations. Remarkable story...
Here's a toast of good Barbera D'Alba wine to all our pedal steel playing friends in Italy!

I give music lessons on several different instruments in Cambridge, NY (between Bennington, VT and Albany, NY). But my true love is pedal steel. I've been obsessed with steel since 1972; don't know anything I'd rather talk about... www.barryhyman.com

Thanks Barry, wine is always very much appreciated.
The way they wrote their posts and the way they communicate (or better, don't communicate) with customers tells everything about all what we went thru all these years, and that made us began this post asking you guys some information about them, because for us was incredible to be treated like that, so, it's useless I say something more.
I hope this story will remain an accident on the way, something that can happen to everyone, and that we can forget as soon as possible.
Actually, you all are right, the psg it seems to be near, but then, when it will be really here, we hope is it really a good one, not like the first one Ivano had, that you all saw.
I keep having faith in their good name and honour and the way they (used) to build pedal steel.
It will be a great one.
To close the circle, opened with wine, if everybody else has coffee too, I have all I need to be happy.
talk to you later.

As flabbergasted as I've been watching this story unfold, I am most flabbergasted by how patient, polite, and optimistic our fellow forumites in Europe remain. That, I believe, is why we're all on their side and why b0b hasn't closed this thread yet. Bravo b0b!
Its also why our friend Mr. Lashley has a bit of crow on his bib. Wow.

Thanks everybody. And thanks for your nice words. Anyway, I really think next week (from tomorrow on) will be the one, so....be prepared to see some nice pictures
In this period I was busy recording with my Band, Bononia Grass, and yesterday we just put online a video of our recoding session that we did to begin the making of our 2nd CD, so, I'd like you all to see if you may like it. It's just one song of the 3 that we did last week end, but just to give you an idea.... . This in particular is a song that I wrote, words and music.
You can watch it directly from our website www.bononiagrass.it in the Videos section, or here on youtube : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EWXLMl1URI0
Hey, ........it's Bluegrass, so, sorry if I'm going a little out of track here on this Forum....
ciao.

That as good as it gets and I'm certainly a bluegrass snob. We'll have to show this to Gary Lee Gimble!

Now, that's what I'm talkin' about! Great song Paolo, and excellent playing and singing by all! If I knew any bluegrass licks, I'd move to Italy and play fiddle for y'all. Now Rick Campbell, he could handle the job with ease...
I hope your friend Ivano gets his guitar soon, and that it's everything he hoped for. Best of luck to both of you.

Thanks everybody for the nice words.
Bononia Grass really "can't wait" to record everything and have the cd ready as soon as possible, but I think it will need some more time.
Next week we'll be playing in a Bluegrass Festival in Holland, then the end of july we will be in France for another Bluegrass Festival, and then in August in Switzerland for another one. From september on we will continue the recording.
In the meantime, you can find us a gig in USA and spread the word......
Ciao. Talk to you later.
Thanks again.

Thanks Olli,
no, I have a "Scheerhorn", but this one is a mahogany "Meredith" built for me last year.
I don't know how deep you are into bluegrass music, anyway Meredith now is the big name just after Scheerhorn, and some famous artists are going to use it now, like Andy Hall, dobroist of the Infamous Stringdusters (he has exactly like mine, the same kind of resonator). Another one who has the Meredith is Josh Swift, who plays with Doyle Lawson.
Is really a good one.
ciao.

This is just too much. That pedal board should be shipped overnight delivery at the expense of the Emmons company. But at this point we know that won't happen. What a tragedy.

I have been following this story since the first posting. I was elated to see the guitar arrived and deflated a few seconds later. What? No pedalboard? I am speechless at all the trouble you guys have been through. I guess they want you to use the old pedalboard. Now I wonder what their explanation is going to be.
