Roy, it's my honor and privilege! I am so looking forward to talking with you again even if it has to be by phone. I so enjoyed my day in the South. Let me tell you I heard some great music that day - for those who could not make it, the heat was well worth it!
Take care at we'll chat tonight!!

The phone chat with Lana and Michael Scott of Steel Radio was a lot of fun. They got Dewitt (Scotty) Scott on the phone and we shot the breeze for about 15 minutes, mainly about how great the Gulfport show was last week end -- as Lana, Scotty and I were all at the show.

Lana: Thanks for re-dedicating Roy's version of "From This Moment On" to me. As you can tell he is one of a kind and I thank God every day he's mine. We are both looking forward to seeing you in St. Louis. You played my three favorite steel players in a row. Roy, Bill Stafford, and John Hughey. It don't get any better than that! Hugs Lana for being such a wonderful lady and congradulations on your degree! I went back to college at 27 with four children and became an RN. I KNOW how hard it is! I want to thank Scotty too for being who he is and joining in on Roy's interview. Scotty, we are looking forward to seeing you and Mary again in St. Louis. Laurie |

Roy and Laurie, I regret that I missed your Steel Radio Interview, but I just now saw the notice (on June 12), and I don't always check-in to the Forum everyday like I used to. You guys take care 'til next time!

Roy and Laurie
Thanks for the kind words. It's always a pleasure of mine to meet and chat with fine folks like yourself. Everyone I have met so far in the industry has been so wonderful and supportive. Like everyone says, the steel guitar world is just like one big family.
Feel free to call in any time on my show. I'd love to hear from you again and anyone else on the Forum. I'm not sure if you heard last night or not but I hit a milestone - my 5th show and I broke 100,000 listeners. I'm simply estatic about the whole thing. But I owe it all to the players and lovers of the steel guitar. Keep tuning in, it can only get better from here!
Looking forward to Scotty's convention and visiting with all the players. Please stop by the booth and say hello. I hope all goes well with your brother tomorrow. Keep us posted. Take care!
