I just got word a little bit ago that our dear steel playing, bass playing friend Mr.Phil Koontz from here in Branson, Mo. was killed today in a garden tractor accident. I don't know a lot more than this right now but I'll add to this post as I get the information.

Dino, Big John Harper called me tonight and told me the bad news. What a sad day. Phil was one of the best friends I made during the time I was in Branson.
He will be missed by many. ESnow
