Paolo,
I want to tell you that you are a wonderful reflection of Italy. If even half of the Italian people are as mild mannered and gentle as you seem to be then Italy must be everything I hear it is. Good luck. No mater what happens you'll end up with a great guitar even if you never see that Emmons. Don

This has got be one of the most agonizing posts I've seen here on the forum.
I totally agree that the source of the problem is Emmons lack of communication and that they should not have let this thing blow up like this and they should have just made a simple call or email.
However, I hope this will blow over soon and be eventually forgotten and I hope Emmons will continue to build. But at the same time I hope that Emmons realizes their mistake and gets their business straightened out.
Nonetheless, I hate to think of no more Emmons guitars. All this bashing is enough to shut down a business. I don't want to ever see that happen. Emmons guitars has too much history and legacy and has a tone of no other. Hell. I've always wanted one but still don't have one yet.
As long as Emmons realizes their mistake and apologizes, then this can easily be resolved and eventually forgotten. I know an apology should have already been given but it's never too late. I hope that now everything is on the table, this will be resolved and this post will expire.
By the way, Paolo you've earned my respect as well by being proffessional about all of this.

Sorry, but at this point an over due apology and a hug just ain't gonna get it. All this could have been avoided with some good communication from the Emmons Guitar Company but when there's no legitimate reason for such a long delay in delivering a guitar I guess there's nothing to communicate. There's just no excuse for treating a customer like that, especially after he's bought two of their guitars. Emmons steel guitars are awesome but I'm glad I own a Sho-Bud and won't ever have to go through anything like what Ivano is goin through.Ben Godard wrote: As long as Emmons realizes their mistake and apologizes, then this can easily be resolved and eventually forgotten. In an earlier post of mine, I intimated that I won't buy from Emmons again......Since I made that statement I received a letter of apology from Rebecca. She detailed the reason for the delay in sending me the parts I ordered, and I informed her that I understood and accept her apology.
So, Emmons retains their client, who will shortly order some more parts.
Patience is indeed a virtue.
I'm sure Paolo's problem will eventually be something of the past.

A buddy of mine in Norway ordered a Rains from Gary. It was shipped on the promised date and he had the steel at his door in a week and a half. 'Nuff said on that one.
Rains is a beautiful guitar by the way
The Rains service is unsurpassed.
'Nuff said on that one too

Hello Gentlemen
My friend Paolo, my translator, can not answer this weekend, is in Bologna to create the new CD with his band "Bononia Grass."
For my guitar, since April 13 has been withdrawn from my agent in the U.S. and now is no longer responsible for the delay Emmons Co.
Next week, Paolo will explain better.
Thank you for your interest.
Ivano

Hi guys,
no no, no elephant or big baloons. As far as we know it should be around here, maybe waiting for some custom papers. Anyway Ivano is hoping that for the end of this week he can touch his "so-long-dreamed" psg. I cannot imagine his happiness when he'll see it. should be something like the 4th of july.
will let you know.
thanks guys.

I believe the reason he has not received that guitar yet is because there is no guitar. Doesn't it look that way to anyone else? I think they just simply tried to burn him never dreaming it would become so public and so damaging. They're probably scrambling now to get one made for him and somehow salvage their reputation and that's the reason for the "delay". Why are they being so distant and cold about this? No business would treat a client like this unless they had something to hide.
It wouldn't surprise me if we heard in the near future that the Emmons Guitar Co. is suddenly under new management to make people think nothing like this will ever happen again.
