Howdy all,
I have a 1930 National squareneck tricone, and I am thinking about getting an AT831B lavalier mic to use with a PA for live shows. I currently just use an SM 57 pointed at a cone near the tailpiece, but I'm thinking I could be more flexible & consistent with an attached lavalier-- I could put the mic inside the lattice grill, for example. Any thoughts/experience/advice you'd like to share with me before I throw my money down?
Thanks! _________________ --

The best tone is at the treble side cone, down near the butt. Got to find the sweet spot then learn to stay on target or purposely move the guitar for subtle variations. I don't think the lavalier mic is the right choice. I used SM57s for years, and on occasion, a nice electret condensor mic, like a Beyerdynamic. An important thing is to get the right mic stand. You want a shorter stand, not a full sized, and preferably a telescopic boom. _________________ Links to streaming music, websites, YouTube: Links |

That appears to be a mic that's only available in the UK, Ulrich. I haven't seen it here in California. _________________ Brad’s Page of Steel
