located at....829 16th ave.
east moline Ill.

Chuck Thompson as part of the back up band and then showing off on Steel is also worth the money

yes the e.moline american legion hall will be hosting a steel guitar jamboree.several players on the list perform at the legion hall often as they support country music and have dances weekly along with at least 1 steel player every sunday starting at 5:00 with music and jam.food will be available during the event.the hall is right downtown on the oneway going west heading towards moline ill. which is part of the quad-cities in ill.plan on coming early for a good seat more info.to come

people have been asking just who is the house band for this event? well i'll tell you they are as followed,

jerome vogel on bass
tommy pickett jr and sr. on drums
and we have two of the best guitar pickers in town
to draw from. tommy holder, and chuck thompson
and if one of the steel players should want a piano
im sure we can talk mr. pete melet into it.

PS im starting to get pumped for this thing :eek:

looking forard to a great show.dale thomas will be back in iowa by show time and looking forard to hearing him playing his western swing as dale thomas knows how to play so well and our good friend russ wever will show his talent on what ever tunes he comes up with and always a treat to hear this great player plus the rest of our great lineup of fine players hope to see you there :)

well im back from phoenix, the race was great, got to know danny sneed, a great steel player and wonderfull guy. roofed my cousins house while i was there. but its time to focus on the show now..
maybe even goes as far as to change my strings.
im mean after all i heard chuck was changing his under wear for the show. :lol: :lol: :lol:

:lol: it's true - I will be wearing my thongs for the show. Well... they're really boxers but they fit me like thongs. :lol: Rose: better tell Johnny that Jim Harmeyer said He is bringing a roll of quarters for any clunkers Johnny and I hit. He said He got a special from the bank @ 3 for $1!
