Bob Taillefer - Ottawa Blues Festival 2009

Post by Bob Taillefer »

Bonjour, Hello, Hola,

My wife Debra took these videos at the 2009 Ottawa Blues Festival (Ontario, Canada)

I had the pleasure of working for the first time with three of my favourite Montréal musicians (Rick Haworth, Mario Légaré, Sylvain Clavette).

We had a great time!

I hope you enjoy the music!

Regards

Bob Taillefer

Bonjour Bob. Great videos and your playing as usual superb. We're looking forward to our annual Tuesday evening dinner with you and Deb is St. Louis. Give Deb a great big hug for us.
Love you both,

Bob that was great. What tuning do you use on the back neck? What is the basic chord progression for the first song? Love that stuff.

Hi Larry,

Thanks so much for the nice words. The first tune is called Minors Aloud. It is a Lenny Breau composition taken from a Buddy Emmons and Lenny Breau named Minors Aloud.

I use a very standard C6th tuning with 5 pedals and two levers and a D string on top. Nothing fancy.

Minors Aloud is a 12 bar minor blues progression.

The chords are:

Cmin / Cmin / Cmin / Cmin / Fmin / Fmin / Cmin / Cmin / Ab7 or Abmaj7 / G7 / Cmin / Cmin /

Regards

Bob T.
