The 76th page of Nothing ...
I used to gas up at the Union 76 and it didn't take me long to learn that I got no mileage with their fuel. Now I'm at the Nothing 76 and my tank is just as empty.

The fact that I'm posting this means I have nothing better to do but beat a dead horse, which does absolutely nothing for the horse considering it's already dead, but I digress...without good there would be no evil, without light there would be no darkness...ad nauseum. It's a big part of ancient Taoist philosophy; the yin and yang. I'd dig out the Book but I don't want my brain to explode.

b0b can lock the post. it's probably eating up disk space on the server. he can do a cleanup and then this whole thread will go from something to nothing...a just fate. I better stop now since I just got back from the next door neighbors. He gave me three glasses of a concoction that contains several alcoholic substances including dago red wine and cherries. It was aged for three years and it's a good thing I could see the porch lights across the field. Otherwise I'd be wandering through the woods looking for home. I don't want to hear dueling banjos...lol!

On Page 70 of this endeavor (???) I mentioned a thread in Steel Players that had 837 replies and 155,166 views; way in excess of the space this one has created/consumed...
I keep thinking it has died but it doesn't and that may be the attraction it holds. No matter what we do or say, NOTHING seems to affect it. The effect then is that it stays vibrant and well with no apparent source of direction or accomplishment.
I don't know why...maybe b0b will kill it; maybe not !!
Regards, Paul

There's an old saying, "Speak of the Devil and he will appear." Don't even talk about closing this thread: it puts ideas into people's heads. Besides, words don't take up much space on a database. What takes up space is images, which is why we're limited in the size of photos that can be uploaded.
Say NOTHING.
Say NOTHING.

Notice the additional references to line item 3...
NINE WORDS WOMEN USE
(1) Fine : This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you
need to shut up.
(2) Five Minutes : If she is getting dressed, this means a half an hour.
Five minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given five more minutes to watch
the game before helping around the house.
(3) Nothing : This is the calm before the
storm. This means something, and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with
nothing usually end in fine.
(4) Go Ahead : This is a dare, not permission. Don't Do It!
(5) Loud Sigh : This is actually a word, but is a non-verbal statement often
misunderstood by men. A loud sigh means she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why she
is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you about nothing. (Refer back to # 3
for the meaning of nothing.)
(6) That's Okay : This is one of the most dangerous
statements a woman can make to a man. That's okay means she wants to think long and hard
before deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake.
(7) Thanks : A woman is
thanking you, do not question, or faint.. Just say you're welcome. (I want to add in a
clause here - This is true, unless she says 'Thanks a lot' - that is PURE sarcasm and she
is not thanking you at all. DO NOT say 'you're welcome' , that will bring on a
'whatever')
(8) Whatever : Is a woman's way of saying GO TO HELL
(9) Don't worry about
it, I got it : Another dangerous statement, meaning this is something that a woman has
told a man to do several times, but is now doing it herself. This will later result in a
man asking 'What's wrong?' For the woman's response refer to # 3.

"Hing mui is salty dried plum. It can be found in Hawaiian and Asian markets. It has a strong, distinctive flavor, and is often said to be an acquired taste, as it has a combination of sweet, sour, and salty taste. It has also been described as tart, and even tangy. Originally from China, the name "li hing mui" means "traveling plum". "Li hing" is "traveling" and "mui" is "plum." Li hing mui is also good for dry and scratchy throats, as it stimulates salivation."
But what we're talking about is NOT HING.

Yes, I remember this very same thing when I was studying Oriental Mother Goose.Alan Brookes wrote:"Hing mui is salty dried plum. It can be found in Hawaiian and Asian markets. Little Jack Horner put in his thumb and pulled out a hing mui.
