We have asked Ivano/Paleo to stop posting on the forum. Since being informed about the continued posts. Well, we will just post their information as well.
After 4 weeks of waiting we were finally contacted by REGGIOSPED of Italy (shipper). Once again instructions have not been followed they decided to bypass shipping laws again... Anyway the PSG will be picked up in the morning from a company out of Atlanta, Ga (SHIPCO)... The Export Compliance Documentation as well as Declared Value and contact with US & Italy Customs have been filed and an email was sent to Massimo Mazzi of Reggiosped.
Regards,

He's been a gentleman, and I enjoy reading his posts.
Agreed. I've learned two things reading through these months of madness. 1) I'm never ordering from Emmons. 2) I'm never ordering those Hank Williams tabs from Erv.
Paolo, I hope you and your friend find the beautiful, black Emmons of your dreams... and then trade it immediately for something that would appreciate you back.

Ohhhh, Emmons Guitars ! nice to hear from you.
1) I closed my post long time ago
2) If you notice, this post has not been opened by me, but it's a decision of another gentleman here.
3) In about all my answers here I always told people to be quiet, to be patience, that we are trying to manage the matter in the best way we can, to not be rude or hilarious with you, and that sooner I will let them see that beautiful black PSG.
4) The only words you could have posted should have been "sorry Ivano if we didn't write or gave you a feedback in the last 6 month, we were too busy, or we had some problem building your guitar, hope you will receive it soon"(this would be a nice answer to a customer who has already bought 2 PSG from you, and this is the third, and that was only asking for news after your last mail of august 2009)
5) Instead, after all this mess, you are so bold to say "they decided to bypass shipping laws again..." ....?? Bypassing shipping ? again ?
Let me clap my hands to you, and I think that my mother, that I saw going six feet under the ground 3 days ago, will clap together with me.
6) and you also want to close my mouth on the forum.
Thanks Joey and Colin, and all who has been nice with me.
When we'll know for sure that we have bypassed law, after entering sneaking into the Italian custom at night time, with our balaclava on, trying to put that PSG on our black pickup truck, and after sleeping all the guards, IF we reach home unharmed, we will sure post the photo of this wonderful PSG.
ciao.
thanks.

When I was in the machinist trade I had several people bring their guitars to me to make a broken/wore out part(not all Emmons)but the Emmons players had a problem in one way or another dealing with Emmons about getting a part or some such so they'd bring it to me & I'd duplicate the part for them.Never charged for it either.

I have had one regret about the Emmons Guitar Company (and succeeding brand names or incarnations): they never made an all-pull 12-string and I only play 12's. I would probably be playing one today. The sound of an Emmons LeGrande is second to none made today, IMHO.
Since Ron, Sr. died I have heard horror stories that never seem to end about deposits held for way too long, delays in delivery, and inferior quality control. I don't recall hearing those complaints in the past.
Any mfgr who asks a customer not to speak publicly about their experience with that company has something to hide.
Now I find that I didn't really want the 12 string LeGrande anyway.

Ivano was told to stop posting, inturn his friend decided to keep posting for him anyway...
Our company has nothing to hide. We have had to overcome tough hurdles and 46 years of good and bad. If walls could talk you would be amazed at the stories from people, past and present. Just the history alone has been a breath taking experience (in a good way)! Our company would never sacrifice quantity over quality or friendships we have established. We have all had bad times in one way or the other we try to make the best decision and move on to a positive solution. You just simply can not live in the past no matter the good or bad you learn and move on.
We have no ill will towards anyone. Yes we know these postings are expressions of oneself's opinion. If our company starting posting unpaid invoices and bounced checks from the members of this forum, We would clearly be overstepping... Integrity being firmness of character and honesty has and will be part of our company...Bashing anyone or any company is wrong at any level.
Regards

bravo emmons...welcome to the forum. perhaps now you could clear the air on the first steel shipped that had the funky endplates and other problems. no matter what problems occurred after that, the time wasted seems a little unreasonable. we are all glad you are responding so we know you are actually there.

Well, I'm happy of your post here, so that everybody can understand with which people we have to deal with since now. Your post is better than my thousands explications to the people of the Forum.
"honesty has and will be part of our company", well, good to know, and so ? Everybody here are honest.
Or maybe you don't think so, as you say that there are unpaid invoices of people of the Forum, but maybe they can say something to you, I'll let them talk, answer to you, if they want.
But still you miss the point of the matter.
Ivano is not an unpaid cheque. He has paid 2 and a half years ago, so there is no need to talk of how long you are in the business and that there is bad and good everywhere. Also Ivano and everybody here can speak of their life, of the problem they had and the things gone right or wrong. As about me, I always said that I still believe in you and in the good solution of the matter. If Ivano asked you a PSG for the third time is because he knows, he believe (believed) of your good business and honesty. So this is not the point.
The point is that communications between him and you ended on august 2009 (and we still don't know why, he only wanted to know, with his emails and phone calls, news of his PSG, as you kept saying "next week we'll ship it"), and you reappeared only after we started our first post here.
You are very customer oriented....
I don't know of the unpaid invoices of some people of the Forum here, but this is not the case of Ivano. He paid more than he should, and is not finished yet.
THEN stop saying "we ask Ivano to stop and his friend keep posting".
Every single words I said and I'll say here are completely under Ivano control. He asked me to say this, is not me that keep posting. We are 2 persons, but acting like one, remember this, please.
Ivano knows, confirm and attest everything I write.
I still wish the best for your business and for your future.
Let me just say that you have to improve, to refin, you relation and communications with your Customers.
Thanks.

Want to say HI to all the Forum's members.
My name is Ivano Malavasi, and yes, I'm the "holder" of this strange and absurd story.
I submitted on the Forum few days ago to join you and this wonderful family of Pedal Steel lovers.
Unfortunatly I don't speak English, and I try to follow all these discussion thru Google Translator, so, to able to post here I have to confide to my great friend Paolo, whom, with a lot of patience and kindness, translate all my writing. and I take the opportunity to thank him publicly for the style with which he's leading this story.
I'd like to confirm, like said by Paolo in his last post, that everything that has been said is under my full responsability, being me the subject of this matter.
Now, it seems that the story is going to an end, at least as for the Shipping is concern (I've been advised that has been done).
I understand that the situation has created a lot of curiosity and opened a very heated debate, but I hope the tone will remain serene.
Now I'm counting the days that separates me from the "agony" instrument, and I will be very happy to post some photos and my happiness as soon as I will receive it (I hope).
As about the Emmons's post here on the Forum, I'm very happy of it, even if I would have preferred to have some explications via mail from them about many questions that still can never be satisfied.
For the moment I just write to them in private (if I'll ever need it).
I want to thank all the Members of the Forum that show me, thru Paolo, their interest and solidarity, and even their doubts, that in the future can surely be satisfied.
Thanks again.
Ivano Malavasi

Steel Guitar
I'm confused here !!! Do i understand right , that the new steel guitar did make it to Italy ??? If so what happened ??? I have a problem understanding why someone that has waited so long would not be ready to hug and kiss this new baby ! I wish Ron and Becca all the best and would love to see them make thousands of dollars building these great steel guitars . After years of playing other brands of steels i really love my LeGrande lll . The tone /sustain looks etc. You couldn't ask for a better guitar in my opinion . No i'm not doing double talk but as i said i'm confused !!!

TOLD to stop, since when did anyone except Bobby Lee have the authority to TELL someone to stop posting on this forum..? "Ask to stop posting", maybe, but why would you do even that ?Emmons Guitars wrote:Ivano was told to stop posting,
Dear me Emmons you really have soiled your bib.. methinks you need urgently to consult or employ a publicity agent.
