This Saturday.......anybody in the local area who wasn't able to attend the Dallas Show can now have the opportunity to see this hot rockin', hot steppin', hot twangin', lively group of honkey tonkin' lovelies......

Come swing dance and Texas two-step to classic honky tonk music by
Girl Howdy. Girl Howdy's show at Connolly's comes hot on the heels of
the band's trip to Texas in March, where they were invited to perform
at the annual Texas Steel Guitar Association Jamboree in Dallas. The
band also took a side trip to Louisiana and played shows at the Blue
Moon Saloon in Lafayette and the Whirlybird in Opelousas, backed up by
our pals from the Red Stick Ramblers, Eric Frey and Glenn Fields.

Saturday, Apr. 10, 2010
Connolly's on 45th
121 West 45th (between 6th & Broadway), NYC
Music starts at 8 p.m.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for dining, drinks and socializing.
Free dance lesson at 7 p.m.
Admission is $20.
Presented by Let's Zydeco!

Howard, I have a reputation as an insufferable wise-ass. But I'm not even close to being in your league. Laughing

Well, I'm sorry I missed it... But I did get to meet Dave Mudgett last night!! It was a blast talking to Dave.

and I got to play my new rig to see how it would work playing with others. Worked better than I'd hoped.

Thanks, Howard--great to see you Sat. night! And what a nice scene -- a great dance club with all of those two-steppers! New Yorkers sure love to honky tonk!

Bill--very interesting about no mention of the non-pedal room in the TSGA newsletter! Did a tree fall in the forest? I feel like I'm part of some secret society----but this could be the start of a whole other discussion....maybe someone needs to send the newsletter a link to this post?
