Topic: Saving arrangement on BR-600 |

| I've got a Boss BR -600 to make backing tracks. After you make an arrangment (or backing track) and name it per instructions, can you save it on the internal card? If so, how do you retrieve it later for playback? I can successfully save one arrangement, but as soon as I make another new one (even on a separate track) they're no longer retrievable. Do I have to save them on my PC? |

Dave once you save something on the compact flash that comes with the BR600 it's there until you erase it. Recalling the song is just a menu change. There is software that you can download from Roland's web site that lets you move stuff back and forth to your computer via USB. If you get yourself a One Gig card you can hold much more than the 128meg card that comes with the unit. It's a great little recorder and a good tool. Most people that have them don't use half of the stuff the machine will do.

Thanks John.
I can see where folks don't use all of it's abilities. It took me awhile to figure out the basics (I have no recording experience). Basic backing tracks with metronome and bass are real easy. The bass simulator works well with my Tele. But, does it save your tracks automatically or is there a "save" command. I tried naming the track but I must be missing something.

It saves everything automatic, if you don't name a song it just defaults to a name. I would say spend some time in the manual if you bought it new. It's a powerful multitrack recorder a cool drum machine and a great guitar processor. You can do some simple recording or some really complex stuff. But you need to understand Roland's terms and how the place different functions in the menu's
