Brother of honky tonker/rocker Al Terry, Bob got some work with the Kershaw brothers - http://www.answers.com/topic/louisiana-men-complete-hickory-recordings and seems there's little else to be found. Maybe this is him with Al - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iEUnH7-kaDg

I saw that Mitch Drumm had Al mentioned in a post...

Ron:

Bob was on most of Al Terry's recordings through 1952 (pre-Hickory). The Hickory recordings were done in Nashville and I'm not sure who the steel man was--possibly Bob, possibly someone else.

Here is the only instrumental by Bob I know of, from 1951. This is actually Bob, Al, Rusty, and Doug.

Al was a fine singer and even made a couple of obscure LPs in the 60s.

Mitch, thanx as always!

Al sure slipped under the radar for many of us and I'll be looking for much more, hoping to hear Bob as well.

Here is a 26 track collection of Al Terry's Hickory recordings.

The link says that it is Bob Terry backing Al on these sides.

I don't have the CD, but it can't be hard to find as Ace is well-distributed.

The liner notes to the CD will likely have more info about Bob Terry than you will find anywhere else. I assume Bob is deceased.

There are vinyl releases of even earlier Al Terry with Bob, but I'm not sure how much of that has made it to CD.

Lot's of info in that link and the cd booklet is probably worth the price alone. How did Al (Allison!) get SO badly missed all these years?! Cool to know it's indeed Hank Garland on Watch Dog, I wondered...
