Bob was on most of Al Terry's recordings through 1952 (pre-Hickory). The Hickory recordings were done in Nashville and I'm not sure who the steel man was--possibly Bob, possibly someone else.

Here is the only instrumental by Bob I know of, from 1951. This is actually Bob, Al, Rusty, and Doug.
Al was a fine singer and even made a couple of obscure LPs in the 60s. |

The link says that it is Bob Terry backing Al on these sides.
I don't have the CD, but it can't be hard to find as Ace is well-distributed.
The liner notes to the CD will likely have more info about Bob Terry than you will find anywhere else. I assume Bob is deceased.
There are vinyl releases of even earlier Al Terry with Bob, but I'm not sure how much of that has made it to CD. |
