New to the forum introduction...

Post by Don Becker »

Hi everyone,

I've just joined the forum, as I'm interested in learning PSG and this seems like a great place to do so.

I've been playing guitar for awhile now, and play a few more instruments, including C6 lap steel.

I have yet to purchase my first PSG, I've posted a valuation request here:

I'm looking forward to learning from the experienced members here.

Thanks in advance!

Welcome aboard, Don, this is the place for information and connection, within a few months of my joining I had discovered literally dozens of steel guitarists in my area that I had no idea existed, as well as learning more than I can begin to tell about the instrument and how to make the most of it. I only regret that it took me thirty years to find out about it.

As for the ShoBud you are looking at, it's a fabulous instrument at a great price, if you have the bucks grab it, it is all the guitar you will ever need and - bonus - will never be worth less than that if you decide to do something else.

Thanks for the reply Dave.

Yes, that is what I was thinking, I remember when I first started playing guitar, I could have avoided alot of frustration had I started with something better.

Yes, another welcome, Don. I too have admired that Shobud...looks cleaner than a "Safeway Chitlin".

I've only been around for a couple of years here on the forum, and it has a lifetime (maybe a few lifetimes) of great learning info. Anything you can't find here, is probably linked from here.
