Denver's Rocky Mountain Steel Guitar Club

Post by Chuck S. Lettes »

We had a great show in Denver. This was one of the better turnouts. There were several fine bands (John Macy, John Arnold, Brett Billings, George Sypert) and it was a treat seeing my steel-playing friends and fans. Scotty and Mary flew in from St. Louis, Kurt Shoemaker drove from Kansas, and even Red Kilby got some time off from the railroad. The sound system was wonderful, and having a big stage was an added bonus. Thanks to all of the people who made Sunday a real treat for me. Let's do it again next year!

I would like to add my thanks to Lois and Dick Meis for the opportunity to play on the show in Denver yesterday. Special thanks to Jim Cooper and K.O. Bowen for their help with my set. It was great to see everyone again this year. There was some great steel playing. Thanks also to Dr Yakes for his comments. They were appreciated.

A special thanks to Dick and Lois Meis for putting together a great show and a special thanks to the back-up band and to Chuck Lettes. It was great seeing and talking to all my friends in Colorado. Thanks to Red Kilby for performing songs from his new CD on my part of the show. Everyone sounded great!! Curt

It was a great show. I allways learn a lot just by watching and listning to some great steel playing. Thankyou to Dick & Lois (and every one else involved) for a great day of steel guitar. Also I would like to mention the back up bands and side musicians. Very Good
