Al,
There are too many differences in the RP and G2 so I don't think it could be done or would be practical if it could. For example, the changer is completely different, the necks are different, the pickups mount different, the cross rods are mounted in ball bearings in the G2 and the cross rods are different, the end plates are different. Anyhow, the G2 is, in my opinion, the finest guitar on the market today. The biggest advantage to the G2 to me is in the tone difference. Also, I forgot to mention there is also a wood thickness difference in the body. If you are interested in ordering a new G2, please let me know as I take trades all the time and I can give you a good deal. You can email me direct at HWallac480@aol.com.
Thanks,
Herby Wallace

Believe me, I don't want to get into a big debate on here about Mullen guitars as I have been playing and selling Mullen for over 26 years and every guitar they have ever built is great regardless of the model, but the G2, in my opinion, is by far the finest they have ever built. The best part of the G2 is that I like the tone and sustain better than the RP and most pros who have compared the two will agree. Also, the bent rods work perfectly for me, and having the ball bearings makes it the smoothest guitar I have ever played. Again, this is my opinion and many other pros that are playing the G2 agree with this too, but as you said, if you still prefer the RP, that is fine and it is still a great guitar too.
