Well, here is a one owner LDG. I bought this 79 or 80 can't remember. I think I'll keep it!

I've posted this before: Late '66 or early '67 Crossover. Pre-Baldwin, maybe a prototype. Bobbe Seymour said they made about 20 of these. 23" scale length, and a strange string retaining method and rollers on the changer. I dont have any recent pics...it is all together and plays pretty well. Pickups rewound by Jerry Wallace, great tone!!

The decal was put on over the laquer, like they were in some kinda hurry, it hasn't been refinished. All the pedals are on it, just not in these photos.

Here's an action shot of my old S-12 'bud that I used when I was playing full time in the 70's & 80's. It came with 3FP & 4KL and during the course of it's life with me it got up to 8FP & 7KL. When I finally sold it I'd taken it back to 4FP and 5KL. I wish I had this one back as I still miss it. I also installed an Emmons pickup about a year after I got the guitar in '77. Also, I took the metal ShoBud logo off my packseat and put it over the original logo on the guitar!.......JH in Va.

Here's a pic of three local Sho' Buds (Harley James, Dave Grafe, Doug Jones) and their guitars on a rare night out together:

Note tht the guitars are much more photogenic than their owners. My red Pro I has a special finish from sitting in the south window of Petert's Music Co. for about ten years before I liberated it. The back of the guitar that was in the shade is still cherry red, the rest is as you see it here, sure looks fine under the stage lights!

I just bought a Pro II from Henry Matthews. I'll try and post a picture later, but in all honesty, this Bud is a tone to the bone monster for sure! It has my Lashley Legrande II beat in the tone department, and I didn't think I'd ever find a steel I liked better than an Emmons for tone. It's a unique guitar, with aluminum necks, and is only 32 1/2" long, I think most Pro IIs are about 33 3/4". Anyway, I really love my Pro II!

I can join the Sho-Bud club now. Mine arrived today from Bill Stroud. I have spent all day changing the copedant to my set-up. It plays like a dream BUT the PU has gone microphonic. I can hear all the pedal operations through the amp, and it even picks up my voice if I get close to it. Has anyone got a new, rewound or new replacement for this. I know I can send it away but I would like to replace it and then send the existing one away for rewind. I can buy, or I have 2 x new Bill Lawrence 705's to swap (taken off from my new D-10 Rains this week (which I replaced with George L's. Here's a pic..
