Well, the other day I got a phone call, and now I'm the steel guitar player for Buck Ford and the Pure Country Band. I'm following in the footsteps of fellow forumite Paul Sutherland, so for those of you who know Paul's talents on both necks of the pedal steel, you already will know I do indeed have my work cut out for me!

Buck is a very talented young country singer/songwriter and I'm excited about working in his all-pro backup band.

The band is very active in the entire state, and some NV bookings as well, so I'll be posting our gigs on the forum as they come up. His calendar is available at http://www.buckford.com .

From time to time I'll post on the forum how I'm doing keeping up with this high energy band Smile

Going back out on the road hua?
Guess that explains the e-mail from Patty asking about D-I-V-O-R-C-E lawyers! LOL
As I said in that previous e-mail, be sure to keep me posted when you get down in my neck of the woods.

Smile

Jim, you always crack me up!

So far on this first pass the nearest looks like Trouts in Bakersfield, on 4/22.... and then the next day is a private party in Laughlin, NV, then back to Sacramento the next night Smile

I'll repost some of this as it gets closer.

Well, I knew playing with this band was going to be fun.... but this may turn out to be "too much fun"..... tonight we play a private party for the Sigma Chi Fraternity at UC Berkeley... tonight would be, I believe the first night of Spring Break? ... oh boy... I think a follow up post will be in order for this gig Smile
