FS: 1965 Rickenbacker 450/12 PLEASE CLOSE
Up for sale is a Rickenbacker 450/12. The serial, EK 298, dates to November of 1965. The guitar is all original and has never been repaired (or needed repair). It is in excellent condition, with only a few minor dings. One tuner is bent, one knob is missing an insert and there is a little finish separation where the fretboard meets the body (see closeup photo). That's the worst of it. The original case has seen better days (there is a hole in one end), but it still functions well enough to carry the guitar around. The guitar was recently set up and is good to go with no work needed at all.
Folks in the NJ/NYC area are encouraged to come try it out.

Change of plans
The guitar must now go, so it's up for auction on Ebay.

broken neck
fellows, i had one of these in 1975 or so in san francisco, i got it for @ 40 bucks at a flea market, no, not a smokin' deal; had a broken neck at the body joint and i had to make an aluminum pickguard as it was cracked/missing part of it, [and nobody was making re-pop 'guards back then]. took it to a great luthier in s.f.; larry peacock...and he glued it up for 50 bones. it was very obviously repaired, but worked like a champ...i had several years of hot rock and roll out of it. sounded way different from everthing else. i then sold it when i moved to denver. of course; i wish i hadn't ever sold it...good luck...joe
