Lana, got my copy today from Shoe and it hasn't stopped playing yet. Wow,the old man really put down 10- excellent to superior tracks on this CD. Track #6 is the cover song, "Sunset over the Heartland", and is a great piece plus Shoe Killed it. Good going Shoe and all you folks support this guy. He's getting much better with time.

Fred, I'm with you as I got my copy yesterday. I talked to Curt last night and told him how much I enjoyed it! "Down at Cecil's" is the first song and its an original written by Curt along with the title song "Sunset Over The Heartland". There's gonna be some interesting stories about these songs when Curt gets it all finished! All I can say is Kudos to Curt for a great CD. Ray

What a great piece of music!
Just rec'd a copy of "Sunset Over the Heartland" and have been enjoying it constantly since I opened the package.
Steel guitar playing at its finest. All are great performances. I especially enjoyed "Three String Swing" and "Georgia Steel Guitar".......great balance.
My overall favorite is "Starry Starry Night".....
I wish you every success with this CD. You deservie it.

Ray, we seem to enjoy the same stuff. "Starry, Starry Night" really got my attention.
Overall, this is another truly great effort from Shoe. I enjoyed the guitar work on the session also, he contributed to the fine CD.
Paper Mansions is another stand-out.

Curt,
It's a great CD and really makes me proud to know you!
Your playing on each track just reinforces what I already knew you could do (from the first time I heard you play in the Pedal Master room in Dallas a few years ago), you have managed to to bring together the holy trinity of steel guitar: Tone, Touch and Taste.
You gathered together some great players and have collectively created ART. Cheers!
So far as I'm concerned it's a must have CD for any Steel Guitar enthusiast.
