Hi guys!
We just uploaded our tribute to Steel Guitar Masters Santo and Johnny and their timeless classic Sleepwalk.
This song alone has inspired so many players to pick up the lap steel, it just has that kind of magic.

Yeah! Where Brooklyn at?!
Gotta love Santo and Johnny. I feel embarrassed to say that "Sleepwalk" is the only bit of their material I know. Oh well. That will have to be corrected in the future.

You know, Laurence, judging by one of Johnny Farina's recent set lists, Sleepwalk is the only tune they do that's "their" material.
The rest of his set is classic surf genre, Pipeline, Miserlou, Maria Elena, Ebb Tide, and the like.
Their other big hit was entitled "Teardop", which was full of steel guitar harmonics, so there's really not much depth to knowing their material.
As to the Sleepwalk tuning, it's anyone's guess, as I believe it's still a "mystery", but many experts believe it to be C#m7.

Josh,
That's a pretty big mystery. The most famous steel guitar recording ever, and we're not sure what the tuning is!
Actually I think it's kinda cool to have such mysteries.

Which "we" are you referring to? It's been pretty exhaustively discussed on this forum, and demonstrated that C#m7 was the tuning used. Do a search.
