Any suggestions for replacement for an Epiphone Electar Century? Will a regular strat single coil fit?

If you still have the original, you can get it rewound. Dave Stephens will do it.

Otherwise I'd suggest contacting a local repairman to see what that person would suggest. Without seeing a photo of the guitar, I couldn't say whether or not a strat-type pickup would fit, or align with the strings properly.

A re-wind of the old coil will keep the guitar in it's original configuration. You may not like the tone/sound of a Strat pickup on that instrument.
Lots of folks to re-wind it, like mentioned above, and of course Jason Lollar, and Fralin etc.
