I went to see Ernest Tubb and the Texas Droopydrawers many years ago at a county fair.
They put on a great show and when Ernest turned the band loose on some instrumentals, I just couldn't get over Buddy's playing.
I've never seen another player dance on those C6th pedals (with both feet) like Buddy did!

Oh man, that's just terrific! I hadn't seen that particular video...thanks for posting that link.
My pal Joe, and I had a lesson with Buddy back in December. It was such a pleasure to meet him. He really stuck me as a truly nice and humble person too. During the lesson he played a few bars of "Danny Boy" on E9. If he had kept going I think it would have brought tears to my eyes.
