Case for Quad Stringmaster

Post by Chris Brooks »

I need a case for an old 4-neck Stringmaster. Anyone have one?

Or should I order a new one from that fellow who builds tweed cases? (I can find his name in the archives.)

Hi Chris,
If you can't find one I'd be happy to build you one. Give me a call.

Thanks, Rob, they look great. I'll shoot you a call.

Wow, the temp and humidity dials look cool in that guitar case! (Dad was a meteorologist). Too bad a steel doesn't really need 'em . . .

Hi Chris,
No the steels don't need them but a clock isn't a bad idea and they are cheap, under $10. I can inlay that into the foam prior to wrapping for a nice custom touch.

Hi Chris,
I'd do that for $250 with lacquered tweed or $225 for tolex. While you can't beat the look of the tweed, as you probably know it will ding up. I would not recommend it to a player who is working regularly unless you put a cover over it.
I have both the tweed and pink fur in stock.
Thanks,
Rob
