My Fender Twin Amp (100w/25w model, looks like a blackface with a much deeper cab, currently in production as part of Fender's Pro-Tube series) lost power and definition recently. One of the 2 screen fuses that protect the power tubes blew. The tubes all test fine, but the amp will only run 2 of the 4 6L6s at a time b/c the fuse is blown.
I can't find the fuses in question for sale anywhere. Anyone know where I can get them? Mr. Fox maybe?
Also, the reverb is out now, and these amps are a bear to get inside. Even the one licensed Fender tech I know in the area isn't very familiar with these amps and has no idea where to get the fuses in question. This is my main gig amp, so I need to figure this out quick. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks |

your local Radio Shack should have them.
If not you can try MCM electronics @ www.mcmelectronics.com
The T means it's a time delay or slo blow fuse. The 250V is the arc over voltage. You could also go with 125V's it's not critical.
Good luck,

The fuse blew for a reason. I think you may have a bad screen resistor or tube. I would have the amp checked out before installing a new fuse. You still could have a bad tube, it depends what you used to test the tubes. |
