KSGA February Meeting
It was KSGA meeting time again in Baxter Springs, KS. The day was also Super Bowl Sunday, cloudy and cold, with snow on the way. I am hoping that explains why we had several missing yesterday. It was a quiet meeting, but a good one too. A lot of visiting about guitars, licks and songs was done. I really enjoyed the day.
We do need to keep Phil Armstrong in our prayers though. He had to leave before the meeting even got started yesterday, because of poor health. Jim and Guyla Coleman were kind enough to make sure he got home safely. I hear Jim Sentlinger has been under the weather again lately also. We missed having him with us.
Our President, Mr. Lee Ogle, brought and played his steel guitar this month! It is so good to see Lee back walking and playing his steel guitar again! He has also been able to go back to work. God is good!
My mom and dad, Jerry and Donna Newberry, were up from AR to be with us. Darlene and Charlie Barnett and Bill Myrick were also up from AR. We were so glad to have them with us.
All in all, a quiet but good day.

Austin Stewart: Just had to give Floyd's guitar a try. He loved it!
Paul & Carol Troop: Not sure what she was telling him.
Lee, trying to flirt with Paul's wife. (just joking)
Donna & Darlene: The gossip area.
Bill Myrick & Randy Stewart: Looks like some deep thinking going on. Do I smell smoke?

Good pictures Dana. Thanks to everyone who attended the meeting, especially our Arkansas friends. I sure enjoyed looking at Jerrys set-up. He gets tone to the bone and he's always trying out new products. I promise I'll have my steel there next month. Also will try to have a good rythm section again. Thanks again to everyone who came. Last Sunday was my first time I had played out of my house since my wreck. I paid the price the next day. It is going to take some time to regain muscle strength in my leg. I can't lift very much.
Dana, you are right, God is good. I very easily could have lost my leg. It really was a lot of fun. Hope for an even bigger turnout next month.

Good pictures Dana, Looks like you had a good time. We didn't have any one at our meeting with a camera so no pic's. Had a good time anyhow. That guitar is not big enough for Austin to hide behind. Ron |
