I felt I needed to do this one again. I just was not happy with the way I played it the first time. Feel a little better about this one. Thanks for watching...William Litaker

obviously you are craving feedback so...technically not 'too' bad but try to get the feel. that's what music is about bill, feel. maybe if you didn't have a robot for a bass player you could work some 'human interaction' into the whole groove thing. also i feel (of course this is all just 'my' opinion) that your delay/reverb setting puts you way down at the other end of a display/convention-center-fairgrounds-empty-concrete building. know what i mean? i'm sure you do. anyway, keep plugging away at this. i think you should let your hair grow longer too. i hope i have helped satisfy your need for attention posed by your incessant video posting. with all due respect sir, because you do play fairly well.

wow...5 minutes from my post to yours. as if someone was constantly monitoring the forum waiting for someone to say you're great. i don't particularly like being called an idiot, however, i can sluff it off. i stand behind what i said. and if you consider me an idiot because i was giving you feedback even though it wasn't what you wanted to hear, then i think you should reconsider your objective.

I don't understand this. I thought the harsh nature of the comments was uncalled for. To be honest, when I saw the title of the song, I thought here we go again with another boring rendition of one that's been played to death, but I took a look. Then I saw it was on C6, and I'm not much of a C6 fan, so I almost didn't listen, but I'm glad I did. I really liked it, and it was much different than what I've heard played on it in the past. William has a way of making a song his own. I've never been disappointed.

The funny thing is that I think if this were just an audio track that by mistake had the name of one of a dozen or so players that are poplar here, people would have been drooling all over it, and filling he thread with positive comments.

It's a good thing that Buddy, Lloyd, Paul, Dicky, Pete, etc... had the foresight to realize that playing the same way the ones before them played would not take them to the top. A tribute is one thing, but I don't know of anyone that acheived great success as a tribute artist. These guys have style, and so does William.

BIAB track was more than adequate for my ears. Come on, it's a youtube video, not presented to win a Grammy. If everyone had to spend the money to get live musicians and pro studio for everything they do, we wouldn't have much youtube videos to look at.

If William is just plays "fairly well" what does that make the rest of us? Dog Dung?

I'm going to reserve judgement on the hair thing, because I don't know William personally, and he may be like me and not have a choice in the hair department. Mine is slowly leaving this body and no new is growing to replace it........ kind of reminds me of the state of country music. Laughing

Hey William, You did a great job on this. Keep it up and keep the tunes a coming. We all have something unique to offer and we all should be able to learn from each other no matter how well we play. You played with a lot of heart and I thought it was great. Thanks for sharing it with us. Ziggie

Its amazing to me that its always the ones that can't play who are the experts. They are the ones running their blow holes.
Don't worry Roger , I am going to keep them coming. You know why? Because I can. The ones that can't will keep making their noise with their blow holes.
If you don't like my posts or my videos don't watch them....seems simple to me.

Rick, I think they must be jealous. That is all I can come up with. You never here them play anything. That's because they are to busy running their mouths.

I am sitting in a room , playing with a track coming thru a Lap Top recorded with a web cam. What do you expect for nothing. I promise you this I sound better than these jerk-offs.....no doubt about it.

I will have another ready by Fri. or so and if you don't want to see it.....DON"T OPEN IT.....

My favorite lick is when he goes back to the first fret area around 0:16 for the first 5 chord. Maybe it's a simple lick, maybe it's a standard C6 lick, I don't know and don't care, I just know it sounds nice and tasteful to my ears. Smile

William, another fine job on a great old song that like Rick said, has been played to death by all of us on both necks, but you put some new life into it. Thanks for sharing it with us, and by all means, please keep them coming. Also, your song choices in all your videos have been great, real "Corn Bread" country. thanks again.

William, I enjoyed that a lot. There was an instruction from Bobbe, I believe, in which the takeoff was using strings 3 & 7, 4th fret, then 3,2,1 & open. Just another idea to use with the way you have it here. Please keep 'em coming.

I've heard Chris Ivey play live ............and well lets just say he's pretty good.......and if he chose to constructively offer critique of my playing I would be inclined to spend some time and work on his suggestions

Great job!!! Your playing is great!

I dont know if it was the room, camera or what, but the delay time seems a little long for my tastes.

A little C6th goes a long way with me (I'm a sickie, I know) but this sounds real good. I've listened to it four times now. Good job.

I thought Bill did a fine job as well. I myself never did like doing instrumentals myself. I do post videos with intros turn around's and things like that but I don't think I have ever did a full song, when ask around here if I am sitting in do you want to do one I say naa just sing I will play behind you. but thats just my preference is all could I play a whole song though? well Id say I could. but I have no tracks any ways. I watch what Bill puts up all the time and even if I thought there was a little to much delay I would never say anything at all. its what we choice to put into our mix that makes each of us different. oh well thats my 3 cents worth.

Me too Joe. All the time bands I'm setting in with ask me about playing instrumentals and I say" "if you want me to I will, but I won't be at all offended if you don't ask" A lot of this is for this reason: They want you to play every crooked song that you can imagine, but if you play something, it has to be a very simple, preditable 1,4,5 song, with easy timing, because "the band don't know anything else." You can say, "I've got a chart for everybody" and they say "Na, what about something like Steel Guitar Rag, or Orange Blossom Special, or Faded Love"? "NA" Laughing

You know Joseph , It wouldn't bother me half as much if someone that makes those kind of remarks would say , hear is a link to one of MY videos , listen to it and maybe you can pick up on something. I don't get many of those. Even though I am sitting in a room playing a track thru a Laptop and recording with a web cam. My favorite comments are from the ones that don't even play steel guitar!

Oh well........
