The "Coalminers" Loretta Lynn's Former Band will have a show at "THE SOUTHERN OHIO OPRY" Sunday February 7th at 1:00 PM. The band will have 3 origional Coalminers (Bob Hempker On steel guitar, Ken Riley on Drums, and Dave Thornhill on lead guitar), with ex- coalminers Dennis Digby (Amber's Father) on Bass, Monty Parkey on piano and keys, and Mike Caldwell on Harmonica and banjo.Ex-Coalminers Randy Burnett and Chuck Flynn will sing. There will be several singers fron the "SOO". The Southern Ohio Opry is located in Lucasville Ohio, about 15 miles north of Portsmouth Ohio. The band hopes to see you all Sunday. Dave Thornhill

Glad to See You guys are continuing this, The Midnight Jamboree Show was great. Too Good , not to carry on and on with Traditional Country Music. More of the road bands of the 60's and 70's need to do this.

Wish I'd known about this sooner. If you're within driving distance, don't miss this show. It's a rare chance to see some real pro pickers in action. I saw them at the ET Midnight Jamboree and I assure you, it's a treat. :)

Thanks for posting this Dave,that would be great if this show played more venues. It's good to see Chuck gettin in there. Lots of country music history in the room! Best wishes Safe Travels

Just got home from show, a sold out crowd and absolutly wonderful.Dave and Bob,Ken Dennis,Montey had incredible tone and they had some great singers to play for.They also had the world class hamonica player Mike with them. This was a wonderful show with the memorable clasic sounds.
