| I'd like to thank the great folks at MSA for the wonderful guitar that they built for me at my request and especially Johnny Cox for his expert workmanship in the assembly and setup. It began as a conversation with Kyle Bennett at the Texas show last year when I asked him when they were going to build a lacquer bodied Millennium and he said that he didn't know of anyone who could build the body for it to their specifications. I then took him to meet Mark Giles and the rest is history. It is a 1/2" cabinet of maple and has wonderful tone and minimal cabinet drop. I'm fully aware of the drastic changes that had to occur in the total redesign of the Millennium to accommodate the new cabinet and everyone involved from Mark to Kyle, Sonny, Reece and Johnny pitched in to develop this wonderful guitar for me. From the first time I sat down to play it I knew that it was something special. It plays like butter and has tone and sustain to die for. Both JB Arnold as well as Fred Shannon have posted pictures in their posts for those interested and I'd like to invite anyone who would like any questions answered or wishes to play it to contact me or come by the new shop- Steel Guitars of North County (San Diego) in Oceanside. I’d also like to publicly thank Reece Anderson for his loan of the original all clear Plexiglas MSA for display at my store. Reece, Jay Dee, and David are all coming to put on a show for those of us afflicted with this steel guitar disease on April 16th and would like to remind those of you wanting to attend to please contact me for reservations. Ah, the heartbreak of SGD (Steel Guitar Disease). I heard there was a guy who was close to finding a cure but I shot him.
Congratulations on your guitar. I saw and read about it in those previous posts. Cool. I've got questions about it but that will wait until I find or start a thread in the appropriate forum section. |

Wow, I didn't know that was YOUR new Legend, Jim. I noticed the "please do not touch" sign (after I had already rubbed my finger on that beautiful laquer finish) but if I had known it was yours I would have yanked it down and ripped off a couple of tunes on it. ha ha, just kidding!!!!
Good luck with your grand opening of the store. If I lived closer I wouldn't miss it.
Sorry about those finger prints I may have left on that front apron.
