Tony, congrats on your recognition there! I don't know if you got my response on your CD, but wanted say how much I enjoyed it. You and I have similar backgrounds concerning our music. Your CD is an excellent example of playing it straight, close to the ground, and traditional!!We're beginning our second year with our Sun Country Jamboree and approaching the point where it's beginning to support itself. Hi Tony, I met you when you played in downtown Nashville in 1979,I bought your album with the fire engine cover on it.I was 17 years old then,the album got lost somewhere along the line.I spent seven years in Navy and the rest ranching.I play with a little Blues band at the Palomino Club in Red Bluff,California...but I am a country picker.Keep playing the fire out of that thang! take care. |
