I have noticed very briefly the guitar player on the extreme left of Paul Schaffers band has a steel by him but can never catch a good look !! Looks like it might be an old Fender or Rickenbacher non-pedal D-8 ?? Anybody know what make of steel it is and name of the musician ??? Thanks !!! Eddie "C" |

Sid McGinnis is the guitarist. I believe he's got a D8 Stringmaster that you see next to him. I never heard him play it. I did see him play an MSA pedal steel awhile back with Judy Collins backing up Someday Soon. He's no Big E but he knows some stuff on the steel _________________ www.facebook.com/countrydaveharmonson |

Eddie:
His name is Sid McGinnis.
Haven't seen the guitar lately, but at one time he had a Fender.
He rarely if ever even touches it. I think he was commented on quite extensively in this forum a few months back when he backed up some well known performer (perhaps Judy Collins?) when she appeared on the Letterman show. I think he used pedals that night? |
