Steelers, if you haven't tried Jagwire strings I urge you to try them. I promice you won't be sorry. I have an artist series available as well as all the other artist using Jagwires.

Well, I can't claim 'artist status', but I've been delighted since switching to these excellent and consistent strings at the beginning of the year. I've been working solidly on tour since then, so they've really been put through their paces - my guitar just sounds better!

Danny, I've been ordering my jagwire strings for the forum for the past couple of years. This way I get the best strings from the best place. I use the Ricky Davis brand with the G on top. Hardly ever have any breakage and get the best tone with them. |

Yes; ya'll all know my preachings about this great string and company and to go further.
I ventured into almost forcing Danny into string gauges designed for the 24" scale pedal steel. As most Pedal Steel guitar packs you buy from ANY company; the gauging is always for a 24 1/4" scale as the popular Emmons;Zum;Franklin...and so on. I get so many Emails from guys wondering why this is happening and that is happening with their Sho-bud and 99% of the time, is because they are using WRONG string gauges. So I; being the huge Sho-bud NUT that I am and with all the Sho-bud's I've had here at my house to work on, have come up with the perfect balance and tone and separation and movement between strings; of gauges for the 24" scale pedal steel.
I love this Jagwire String and is the only string I use; and that's coming from a guy that has had a FREE Ernie Ball String endorsment for almost 10 years now....ah....ha...
It takes less tension to pull the same gauge Jagwire string as it does for any other manufactured string and we all know what that negates to???> yep; longer life in Tone and string breakage.
Thank you Danny for you and your wonderful Quest to making the Steel players of the world; just a little happier and worry less about string problems.

Well, I must add my comments about this excellent string. As I've said many times, for my taste, Jagwire is the finest I have ever used. There are many reasons I have chosen Jagwire, first they last longer before going dead, I never break any strings, they also seem to bring in or stretch faster than others I have tried, plus Danny Hullihen and the Jagwire Co. are the best to deal with. The Herby Wallace sets that I use and sell are stainless which is my personal preference.
I will be selling Jagwire Strings at the Dallas show as I do at all of the steel shows I attend. I will have sets as well as individual gauges.

I've been using Jagwire strings since the company began, years ago. I even had a small part in design, gauges and kind of a re-introduction of nickel strings, along with the help of David Mcknight the original owner of Jagwire.

| I've been using Jagwire strings exclusively on my Sho-Buds for the past three years and they are superior to any other brand I've tried over the past thirty years. They last longer, stay in tune better, have better tension and out-sustain anything I've played prior to this time. Whether you are playing live or in the studio (or both)Jagwire strings are suited to every situation. A perfect all-around string and they don't cost more than the competition! |

| Just another special feature of jagwire strings --- I played a couple of gigs recently in really hot weather, I unpacked my Zum for the second gig, which was an outdoor affair, set the guitar up and it was almost still dead in tune - after being in the back of my SUV all night as well, on a hot sticky, stuffy night. Incredibly stable strings, and as previously stated, Danny's service is 2nd to none. |

I started using Jags a while back,and am a very happy camper.
Played in Montg. Sunday, traveled 300 miles,
set up monday night twicked 2 strings on both necks, played again Tuesday night, adjusted 2 strings and played again.
Put on a new set of Herbies, Stainless and love them, herb you have a new customer.
I felt guilty changing strings that were 4 weeks old and still sounded great, but I wanted to try stainless for a better sounding bottom end on my sho-bud and i think it works.
Have not broken a string since I switched to Jags. With sits I broke one after three week, also had a 10th break never before, broke a 10th string.
Jags for me a happy camper in the new camp.

I definately agree with you on the Nickel strings. I never realized how much difference the type of string would make in the way my guitar feels. Danny and his crew made it possible for me to get all the heavy gauges I wanted, and it really helped "balance" the tone and feel for me.

I tried a set of Jagwire nickle wound strings about two years ago and never went back to anything else. I've tried different gauges, but always Jags. I have even converted at least one player here in Amarillo. I endorse Jags every time I set up and people see my Jagwire decal on my guitar. I really like the .0115 on my G#. Sounds good and the tension feels good when I pick it. I think everyone owes it to themselves to try them at least once. They are great strings.
