Deluxe Reverb 1968 (same as Black Face)

Post by Randy Carson »

For all that know the fender amps directly after the cosmetic blackface change was just that for a year and can always be reconized by the trim around the speaker but most importantly the face plate will say Deluxe Reverb AMP not Deluxe Reverb.
This is the same exact wording on the Black Face. These are my favorite amps because they are so unique. I had a twin like this and rolled it into a store and someone with Jimmy Vaughn said there's your Blackface you want and we made a deal.
Anyway super sounding amp all original except the obvious grill cloth which can be had for 10 bucks but I think whats on it is cool.
Also I cant be sure about the reverb tank because the cover is missing however it's an acutronics like the original so I'm not saying for sure on that except the reverb sounds great.
The pedal is original but the rca wires where replaced.
Double Kick Butt amp guitar players will Thank Me
1150.00 plus shipping
Ck out how clean the faceplate is, a new grill cloth and it's a 9 out 10
Need more pics let me know

Man, if I didn't already have one, I'd get this one. Somebody had better get this while they can.

I can't believe my eyes. This looks just like the amp I got when I was a high school freshman. And believe it or not I put the same incorrect grill cloth on it after a fall from a chair being used as an amp stand left a big tear in the original. The replacement cloth was not designed for this purpose, but was actually purchased in a fabric store. If I remember correctly, the fabric was so flimsy that I installed it directly over the torn original. Of course this may be and probably is a different amp, but I would be interested in whether or not you can tell if the original grill cloth is underneath.
