Johnny and I are both working this weekend. Johnny's working Friday night in San Angelo, TX at a club called "The Library" with Jody Nix and his band. Then on Saturday, he's back with Jody again at Jody's club "The Stampede" in Big Spring, TX. I'll be at Pearl's Dance Hall in Fort Worth, TX tonight (Friday) , and then at a restaurant/bar in Euless, TX (don't know the name of it yet ..will post when I find out)on Saturday night. Curtis Lovejoy and Will Taylor are in the band. Shuffles by the pound, for sure. Come see us if you're out this weekend.

Joan...oh, to be able to be in three places at once! Playing at the Hollonville Opry House Saturday night and the Saluda show Sunday. Wish you and Johnny would get back over there! And I wish I could be there to hear BOTH of you guys this weekend. I've got your "Not Bad For A Girl" and Johnnie's "Ballads, Shuffles & Swinds" CD's in the deck as we speak. I'm holding a place open in there for your new one! Hope you don't mind, I "borrowed" your arrangement of "Don't Touch Me" for Saluda. Hope to see y'all soon.

Saturday I will be doing the 2:30 PM and 7:30 PM shows at the Weatherford Opry (electric guitar) with Albert Talley on steel. Bill Anderson will be the main act...should be good...looking forward to hear his steel player.

Then I race after the first half of the 7:30 show to Colleyville (Ft Worth) to play steel with a top 40 country band called 'Empty Pockets'. I'll miss the first set but...It will be a crazy night of electric and steel but so much fun!

We, Jillia Jackson, and Faded Grey opened for Norvel Felts last night in Greenwood, Ar at the new events center. Jillia is a very talented young lady. It went very well. Norvels band guys were great players and very friendly. Norvel is as gracious as any star I have ever been around as well as being a tremendous talent. I am now a Norvel Felts fan!
Tonight, Saturday, I will be back playing the "Little O' Oprey" in West Fork, Ar.
Sunday night I will be with "One Way Flight" playing at the Free Will Baptist Church in Central City, Ar.
