John Hughey's solo on I've Just Destroyed The World
I was just listening to the steel solo from "I've Just Destroyed The World" on Rebel and Ricky's site. It is amazing.
I would like to hear the whole song! But I think it's only available on vinyl. Unless... does anyone know of where I can get my hands on a CD or digital copy of this whole song?

Tim I agree its some of the sweetest steel playing I've ever heard. I was driving home from a gig the first time I heard it and I had to pull over to listen. Then John did it again in the break.
I played the song at a few steel shows and even my meager attempt was well received by the audience.
If anyone has or knows where a copy can be obtained I sure would like to have one.

Looks like the Conway/Hughey cut is from a 1972 or 1973 session: http://www.lpdiscography.com/t/Twitty/t ... omeone.htm and http://conwaytwitty.com/?inc=59&blog_id ... e_id=12156. (I see "Sweet Memories" is on there, too. Hmm . . . )
Here's some vinyl on eBay.
