Derrick,
I have tried a couple of headset mics and in a portable situation with my Street Cube. The Audio Technica 8HEx is an entry level mic that works pretty well at low/moderate volume levels. Feedback rejection is not the best and if you A-B the mic against a Shure SM58 it sucks pretty hard. If it is only you on vocals, a guitar and a street cube no one would be the wiser.
The Shure WH30XLR would also work and sound better but would require an external phantom power supply as it is a non-powered condensor mic.
Unless I'm taking a guitar and a cube out on the boat for a little R & R, I no longer use a headset. Mic technique is nearly impossible because you just can't get away from the thing to cool down back up parts. On stage the only way to go is a stand with a mic in it.(IMO) If you are the only singer it works out pretty well. The headset also allows you to look at a steel guitar while singing which a mic and stand doesn't do very well.

Thanks Rich,
Do you know (or anyone knows) if a Countryman E6 headset mic will work well on a Micro Cube Street?
It seems to getting some good reviews.
